The different name of the SP1 registry path is the problem.  What is the
entry that identifies

Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition - DEU Service Pack 1
(KB926606)

?  My guess is

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio\8.0\InstalledProducts\KB926606
