[GCC-XML]gccxml-0.4.2 on osx 10.2.8 with gcc 3.3

this is a bit confusing.

i followed the instructions on the download page to development version
from cvs.
it would appear that the cvs checkout yields the code for the front-end
only.
this did build and "gccxml --print" does succeed.

on the other hand, you recommend that one look in the Patches directory.
the gcc_3_3_osx_panther_xml.diff file in this directory would appear to
apply not to the front end, but to the backend?
is this true?
if so, to ask a rather rudimentary question, if i have built the
backend using "gccxml-0.4.2-cc1plus-osx.tar.gz", how do i apply these
patches to it?

thanks.
